Hybrid Influence is: well, think about it, Influencer suffer from the exact same thing that brands do… when they post, their whole audience doesn’t see that post. The social networks want to make money off them the same way they do from brands. So when they post only a small percentage actually get to see it. So how do we change the odds in our favour.
Cue Hybrid Influence.
Hybrid Influence, is when a brand puts social media ad spend behind an Influencer post either through the branded content tool on a platform like Instagram or by leveraging an agency like Scrunch to do it for them.
In 2020, Scrunch expects that every Influencer strategy will have some kind of paid component built into their strategy.
We ran a test with an Influencer account that had 25k followers, and the results were astounding.
Before the paid boost, the Influencer account reached 4.5k of their followers and saw 100 of the accounts engage with the post.
With only a $60 paid boost, the account reached over 15k of their followers, with 20k impressions and almost 1k engagements. Stats that not even the best of the best influencers are likely to achieve.
We really are living in a pay-to-play world and unless you know how to hack your Influencer strategy, you’re probably not getting the best results.
